As was pointed out above, this is not some vendetta by Apple, corporations are required to defend their trademarks. This is not out of the ordinary.

Apart from that, there are several similarities, note the detached leaf and the rightward slanted stem. On another site I saw where someone had taken the NYC logo, mirrored it left for right and laid it over the Apple logo. It was a near perfect fit.

My “take” is that you obviously have never had a company who had to defend any trademark items, or else you would know that to not defend on these issues is to lose the trademark and have it diluted (and its value diluted) through much confusion and much use (by others) in the marketplace.

Obviously, these days, anything with “Apple” in it — generates articles of all kinds, even the stupid and idiotic articles and their accompanying inane and vapid commentary.
