alcheMo: The iPhone Java Solution from Innaworks

alcheMo Java Porting Solution for iPhone

A beta version of a alcheMo designed to port Java-based games to the iPhone has been revealed. Innaworks aims to answer the demands for Java support on the iPhone by at the very least ensuring developers can tweak their titles to run on iPhone.

The app is designed to instantly port a standard Java Platform, Micro Edition (Java ME) mobile game to the iPhone and iPod Touch. It’s completely automatic and no tweaks or adjustments on the developers’ end is necessary.

Said Stephen Cheng, CEO of Innaworks:

“With the expected introduction of iPhone’s AppStore in June, iPhone is emerging as a serious gaming platform. We are amazed by the effectiveness of the touch screen and accelerometer on enhancing gaming experience. We expect the early backers among game publishers to significantly benefit from their first mover advantage. alcheMo for iPhone will help mobile game publishers to reach the eagerly awaiting gamers with quality games on iPhone and iPod touch.”

Two thumbs up to Innaworks here. They are right. Gaming IS going to be big. Once that app store launches I’m looking forward to browsing all the titles (and games) I have been craving.
