My home theater never sounded better. But the only problem I found on hear that it doesn’t work with my Google Chrome for some reason. Hope they find soon a solution. =/

Thanks Joesoft!

Pandara is just a website, and probably 32 bit only, and Hear seems to work great with it — before, it was deficient in treble, but not anymore. I would much prefer Pandoro to be an app and not a websiste, as I have to keep it aftive using Chrome else it goes away. Hear is an app and no problem like that.

If i open the same movie file in the old Quick Time Player 7, everything seems to work fine.

It’s the same thing when using VLC. I’m pretty sure they upgraded their application to 64-bit as well, as far as I remember.

This leads me to believe that Hear hasn’t been upgraded to handle the API for sound that newer 64-bit applications might be using.

Just a though… I hope they release an update soon.

Therefore it cannot work with any 64-bit application in Snow Leopard (like QuickTime X). Luckily iTunes is still 32-bit, which is why most people haven’t really noticed this huge flaw yet.

I hope Joesoft fixes this soon, because all apps, iTunes included, will migrate to 64-bit in the near future. I hope they also fix the annoying bugs like the controls that jump back to previous settings some times, the memory leaks and the fact that it simply stops working after a while. I really like what it can do, but if I had known how bug-ridden it was, I’d probably never have paid its rather steep price.

It works for me only sometimes.

Then I connected the Mac with a Yamaha Receiver, Sound was much better, but not good enough in my opinion.

Then I hear about Hear and give it a try and now I will not miss this little program anymore. With Hear my Mac sounds now more richer than it does with the Receiver before.

But I spend days to find the right adjustments because there are so many options.

For People the try Hear for the first time with a Mac Mini it is best to disable first all functions in Hear.

For me the best settings with my Headphones are to move the Superbass slider to 80%, the Fidelity slider to 15%, the Extended Fidelity should be enabled and both silders of the Contour Maximizer should be on 50%.

Give it a try and enjoy the Music!
