Evernote: After The Initial Infatuation Wears Off…

Sometimes the initial infatuation is strong but quickly diminishes as time goes on.
It happens with romantic connections.
It happens with friendships.
It even happens with technology. (Like my friend who just ordered her sixth notebook in almost as many months. She makes my technology habits look downright tame by comparison and that’s not particularly easy these days. Her routine goes like this– Buy it. Love it. Use it. Find fault with it. Sell it. I kid you not!)
If you follow JAiB you know that Patrick, Brandon and I were all initially smitten with Evernote. We positively gushed over it and were thrilled to hand out so many Beta invites to this innovative service.
But what happens when the initial "WOW" wears off? Can something that quickly starts off so positively possibly remain anywhere near as good?
YOU BETCHA!!! Especially when…
…just a few weeks into each of us finding Evernote increasingly indispensable Evernote reveals its latest trick- Evernote for iPhone!!!!!!!!!
That’s right, while Evernote’s mobile access is nice the new iPhone optimized site is even better.

The newly revealed site is finger-friendly and allows complete access to all your folders with a minimum of clicks. For the iPhone-devoted it makes a good service even better.
It you have an iPhone and use Evernote it is worth a look.
If you have an iPhone and don’t use Evernote… what are you waiting for?
In the two days since it was revealed it has made me EVEN more reliant on Evernote. Unfortunately that, in itself, may be an issue in the future. Why?? Just look at this list…
Evernote-
Cost- Currently free in Beta.
Usefulness- Increasingly indispensable.
Jott-
Cost- Currently free in Beta.
Usefulness- Increasingly indispensable.
Skitch-
Cost- Currently free in Beta.
Usefulness- Increasingly indispensable.
Depending upon the cost of these services when the Beta period ends and become fee services I may well be shelling out a goodly amount of "coin" each month.

Whenever I try to go to the iPhone site I get redirected to the mobile site. Even logging out and logging in only works as far as the new login screen, then I’m back on the mobile site.
Oli– Are you using this as the address?
http://preview.evernote.com/iphone
If so, I’m perplexed because it works great for me. I will note, though, that when I tried to pull it up on my desktop it was redirecting me.
Yeah
AHHHH- the beauty of “Beta”

I really need to stop playing with stuff that aint finished !
