It’s always good to see (legitimate looking) contests where there’s a free iPhone to be won – especially if they’re based round doing something fun and creative in order to win the prize.
This week, the folks at Dream Catcher, makers of the iPhone Video Recorder native video recording application for the iPhone, have launched just such a contest. One where you put your iPhone video creation skills to use in order to try to win yourself a free iPhone, or one of the other prizes on offer for those who finish in the Top 10.
I’ve mentioned very recently that I like the iPhone Video Recorder app enough to have puchased it – and I imagine there should be plenty of aspiring ‘Spielberg on the iPhone’ types out there who should make this contest very interesting – I bet we see some really cool things produced.

Here’s some of the description given by the contest creators in a forum post at EIC:
To celebrate the blossom of iPhone Video Recorder, we, DreamCatcher are launching a video contest for the most creative and smooth videos which are made using iPhone Video Recorder. The Contest organization committee will choose top 10 winners from the participants by the end date June 30th, 2008.
Videos will be ranked based on these criteria:
1. Use of DreamCatcher’s iPhone Video Recorder.
2. Youtube users rate and views counts.
3. Creativity.
4. Smoothness.
