One of the many exciting apps demo-ed up on the WWDC stage last week was MLB At Bat – which gives baseball fans live scores and lots of in-game video highlights.
At the time of the WWDC demo, no pricing information for the program was mentioned – but now the folks at MLB have announced that it will cost $4.99 for the rest of this season and it will be ready to go at the App Store launch. Apparently it’s too soon to say whether the price will change next season – but for the rest of the current campaign, $4.99 gets scores and highlights access for every game on the Major League Baseball schedule.
This app looked very sharp at the WWDC demo, and it’s great to see another program from a big, mainstream vendor come through with a very low price. So far, there are lots of good signs that App Store prices may end up being very attractive …
