Here’s another iPhone app coming to the App Store that should make a lot of corporate users very happy. iClink – maybe not the loveliest of names ever I feel – from Companion Link Software is set to offer the ability to sync the iPhone wirelessly with a strong range of leading CRM (customer relationship management) programs – like ACT, Goldmine, Outlook with Business Contact Manager, and others.

iClink will allow Apple iPhone owners to access and edit their CRM contacts, calendar events, recurring appointments, tasks, and notes directly from their device. iClink will run on the Apple iPhone and wirelessly synchronize data with the desktop CRM software. Two-way sync capabilities will ensure that data modified in either the desktop software or on the iPhone will always remain in sync.

iClink does have various requirements – in terms of elements of the overall service that need to be paid for – to make the whole thing work.  Read on for a little more background and details on what the app and service will cost …

The graphic above shows the three components needed to make iClink work with with iPhone – the Companion Link Professional app, which costs $99.95, iClink itself, to be priced at $39.95 in the App Store, and the Wireless sync service charged at $9.95 a month.

Not an inexpensive solution, but for corporates who need to hook into specific CRM apps, probably still a solid option.  Here is the list of CRM apps supported by iClink:

  • ACT! by Sage
  • MS Outlook with Business Contact Manager
  • IBM Lotus Notes
  • FrontRange GoldMine
  • Google
  • AppsPalm Desktop
  • Novell GroupWise

iClink is et to be available at the App Store launch, at $39.95.
