Check If You’re Eligible for iPhone 3G Upgrade Price At AT&T’s Site

Apparently you can now find out whether you’re eligible for upgrade pricing on the new iPhone 3G, via AT&T’s site and your account details page.  I say apparently because I’m a Pay-As-You-Go plan customer, and my details pages are not helpful in this respect – more on that just a little later on.

For those who have ‘standard’ iPhone contracts though, you should be able to go to http://www.attwireless.com, login to your account, go to the ‘Phone/Device’ section and hit the ‘Upgrade Phone’ link.  This should give some insight on whether you’re able to get the new iPhone at the advertised $199 (8GB) and $299 (16GB) prices.
