Rogers announces iPhone Plans for Canada

Rogers Plans

A while ago, it was announced that Rogers would be bringing iPhone to Canada. However, until now, nobody has known what kind of plans the company will offer. This morning the mystery was solved, as Rogers released it’s official page on iPhone plans.

Services plans start at $60 (Canadian) and end at $115. Oddly, unlike other companies carrying the iPhone, Rogers does not offer an unlimited data plan, which, obviously, may be an issue once the AppStore is released.

I have to say I am THOROUGHLY disappointed with Rogers for this. I was actually really considering getting a plan and tacking on $30/month or so just to try out unlimited data (although most likely it’s a 2year thing…ugh) but they had to go and screw all Canadians, yet again.

400 MB for $60? You have got to be kidding me.

Yeah, that is messed up. They should have just gone with unlimited data; they’d get a heck of lot more business that way.

Man – so much for some of the optimistic rumors on data rates over recent weeks. Those data rates (and associated limits) are CRAP. Poor Canada :(
