Friendfeed Is Now iPhone Optimized

Friendfeed now has an iPhone optimized version of their site – just a few days after FFtogo came out with theirs – and I have to say I much prefer the new Friendfeed site.

It looks very sharp and feels great to work with so far.  It features larger fonts and elements on the page than FFtogo which, for me anyway, makes it even more handy to find things quickly and interact with quickly.

I like the large links across the top of the page for the Friends / Rooms / Me and Best sections, and also like that you can toggle the iPhone or ‘normal’ version of the site.

One complaint I’ve seen on Friendfeed – and that I agree with – is that the Search bar should be located near the top of the pages, rather than all the way at the bottom – as it much easier to tap the status bar and return quickly to the top.

As I mentioned on the FFtogo post, if you haven’t tried out Friendfeed yet, it’s well worth a look.  It’s a superb al-in-one resource for seeing all of your (and others’) social / networking services updates rolled up in one place – Twitter, Flickr, StumbleUpon, Last.fm, web articles you’ve bookmarked and want to share, and lots more.  It’s also a great venue for conversations now.
