For the last few days I’ve been running the latest beta build of the iPhone 2.0 software, and getting a feel for what to expect come Friday.
So far, I haven’t seen anything unexpected – and just about everything I did expect to see is there and working. Exchange works. Screenshots via the hardware buttons (holding down Home and Power at once) work. Mass delete and move to folders in Mail work.
I keep hitting the App Store occasionally, on the long shot hope it might come out to play – but so far no dice of course.
On this beta version, Mail, Contacts, and Safari actually have a little bit of lag to them – which hopefully will not be there on the final version.
That’s about it for now – I’ll post again if I notice anything crazy or brand new – if any of you all have specific questions on it, fire away and I’ll try to answer them …
