Rogers finally perforated by flak — lowers 3G data prices!

Posted on 09 Jul 2008 by Thomas

Oh, how sweet it is! I’m not sure this plan will apply to me, but it’s a ridiculous improvement over the data plans we’ve heard before. Rogers will offer for a limited time a 6GB data plan for $30 on top of any "in-market voice plan" for those who sign up for the three year contract. New and existing customers can choose a new voice plan, or keep their current plan and add the data packages onto them. This is a vast improvement over the lowet level plan of 400 MB data and 150 weekday minutes at $60/month.

6GB isn’t unlimited, but it’s a much better pricing level than 400 MB for $30/month (which is about what the data portion of the $60 package costs). Thanks to all who helped put pressure on Rogers at RuinediPhone.com.  I checked recently and the signatures were past 55,000! I’m not sure what it was that changed the pricing levels, but I’d love to think that 55k signatures helped somewhat :)

    Sadly, can’t :(

Rogers is a canadian carrier. No ATT here. Just a cold, cold wind, and high data prices…*shivers*
