Evernote Is In The App Store, Free, & Looking Good

Evernote

One of the very first new apps I spotted when giving the iPhone App Store a once-over this morning is one of our biggest favorites – Evernote – and it’s free!

There had been no talk of a native iPhone app from Evernote leading up to the store’s launch, but sure enough there is one all ready to go and it’s EverNoteNewNotelooking good.

The interface for it is as easy to look at and use as you’d expect if you’ve been using Evernote on the web, desktop, or iPhone web app version.  It asks to make use of our location right away – though I’m not sure just yet how it makes use of this.

Best new feature I’ve spotted in just a very short time using the new native  Evernote app – when you hit New Note, it offers four types of note to create, including Audio Notes – so it can serve as your voice notes app now.  Very nice addiiton.  The four note types are: Text Note, Snapshot Note, Saved Photo Note, Audio Note.

We’ll have a better run-through on Evernote fairly soon, but this is a superb app in all its versions and this native iPhone one was the only missing piece.  Well worth getting hold of.  Give it a look under the Productivity category in the App Store.
