You didn’t think I was going to show it off that quickly did you!?

Just kidding … here ya go:

So far the iPhone is a useless brick however. The rumors are true – iPhone activations are down and AT&T is selling them straight off the shelf without even opening the box. So – truth be told – I bought the white iPhone without even having seen it in person. The first time I saw one was when I got home and opened the box for the first time.

Click on through for a couple more shots – including a comparison to the iPod Touch.

First off – while I’m waiting, I’ve decided to go ahead and put on the Zagg InvisibleShield for the 3G. Figure I can’t use the darn thing anyway, so I might as well have it setting (the recommended 12-24 hours):

Of course – full review coming later of both the 3G iPhone and the InvisibleShield.

But as promised – here’s some more shots of the White 3G iPhone:

    Nice!

You actually got the white one! If I ever jump into this 3G thingy, I\’ll get the white also.

Hmm, they look kinda funky with the color half/half. Should\’ve made it all white… (last 2 photos).

    Great shot!

So, how much did it set you back? New contract?

Actually – its not as “funny” looking as you would think from the photos. I’m actually quite fond of the look – reminds me of the Nokia 5200 (slightly). Its very much an Apple white.

All in all I was very worried about it when I told them I wanted the white – but having seen the black one before hand, I knew it was going to be a fingerprint magnet. I asked to see a demo model (they only had black) while we were standing in line outside before the store opened and they let me check it out. Within seconds it had more fingerprint marks than you would believe.

Total cost out the door was $324. I’m an AT&T customer so my contract is going up by about $10-15 month for data and 200 texts. I wouldn’t even bother with the texts but I get a bunch per month from people who don’t understand that some people don’t have text messaging on their phones.

Looks great! My local AT&T store was sold out by the time I got there, so I’ll call back tomorrow and see if they got a new shipment. Enjoy!
