Apple Wins Big at 2008 IDEA Awards

International Design Excellence AwardsThe Industrial Designers Society of America and BusinessWeek recently announced the winners of the 2008 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). IDSA has recognized design excellence in products around the globe since 1980.

In the 2008 edition of the awards, 17 categories were included. The Apple iPhone (2G) won the only gold medal in the Communication Tools category, and the MacBook Air shared gold medals with One Laptop Per Child’s XO Laptop, and Apple’s Wireless Keyboard in the Computer Equipment Category. The iMac also took home a silver medal in this category as well.

Congrats to Apple for these new ‘feathers in their cap’. Well done.
