How To: Take a Screenshot on iPhone 2.0 Firmware

Taking a screenshot with iPhone 2.0 FirmwareIn the iPhone 2.0 update, there are lots of cool things to find and explore. However, one of the coolest is the brand-new screenshot capability. It allows you to take a picture of what’s on your iPhone’s display at any time. This was possible via other 3rd party apps on older firmware, but now that the feature is built into the OS… it’s minty.

To take a screenshot, all you need to do is press your home button at the bottom of the iPhone, and the power button at the same time. That’s it. Note that you only need to click the buttons quickly at the same time to get this to work. You’ll know you were successful when the screen flashes white.

To view your screenshots, simply go into your photos and view your camera roll. Your new screenshots will appear there as soon as you take them.
