Today and yesterday I read numerous reports of cracking in the white casing of the iPhone 3G. It isn’t just one unsubstantiated report, it’s numerous reports all over the place. Seems to be that only the white ones are cracking, it could be that the black iPhones because of their color make it harder to notice any flaws or cracks.
What say you out there? Have you or anyone you know witnessed strange cracking on your new white iPhone? Keep in mind, dropping or sitting on your iPhone doesn’t count. We’re talking about iPhones that show cracks simply from normal wear and tear. Although… with my 2G iPhone I sat and dropped the darn thing numerous times without any problems.
Perhaps the 3G iPhone isn’t as tough as the 2G?
