Are You Rich? The $999 iPhone App

Posted on 06 Aug 2008 by Ben

This honestly made me laugh for a good few minutes. It really shows just how much Apple checks the apps that are entering the iTunes app store.

Developer Armin Heinrich must be expecting a few orders from Paris Hilton and alike over the next few weeks. He’s just uploaded his second application to the iTunes store called, “I am Rich”. Its a really simple application really. It basically just lets you flaunt an image of a red diamond on your iPhone (yes, really that all there is too it).

The app itself costs $999.99. Apparently the rest of the world will know your rich as soon as they see that sparkling red diamond.

I personally think this is hilarious, I know that others don’t quiet feel the same way though.

I dont know why anyone is upset at this, I think its ingenius. If someone wants to actually spend a grand on an app that is simply an icon (we assume), then so be it :)

I’m curious to know if any sales have happened and to who.

If you crack this app, can it get you into clubs?

  7. Councillor Ben says:

By the way Grammar Nazi, you need to work on your spelling. ‘Appaling” is spelt APPALLING, just one of you’re many mistakes.

  8. Fregory says:

Grammar Counselor, you are an idiot. You didn’t change a thing in the first block of text, and you managed to overlook like 50 grammatical and spelling errors.

Pretentious jackasses like you really get on my nerves…

    FIXED.

  9. A man is driving up a steep, narrow mountain road. A woman is driving down the same road. As they pass each other, the woman leans out of the window and yells “PIG!!” The man immediately leans out of his window and replies, “WITCH(??)!!” They each continue on their way, and as the man rounds the next corner, he crashes into a pig in the middle of the road. If only men would listen.
