World Book - This Day in HistoryNew from The Software MacKiev Company comes World Book – This Day in History. The app is a simple one, and priced to go at only $0.99.

With all of the info and knowledge found within the World Book Encyclopedias, the developers had a lot of info to build from here. The app is an interactive calendar that displays important historical events that took place on the current day… Or any selected day for that matter. You can also use it to find out celebrity birthdays, and find out what notable celebrities share the same birthday as you.

This first edition is somewhat ‘bare-bones’, but the developers have noted that a free update will be coming soon for this app. The update will add pictures, sounds, music, speeches and more to the events found within. Can’t wait to see what that turns out like. Should be cool.
