1. Use iTunes to backup and trust it to allow you to restore.
2. Jailbreak and use something like AppBackup and SSH the data off your device.

Here’s the problem I see with these two being competitive against one another: Evernote does the whole syncing action between multiple systems extremely well, but they lack the offline notes capability and they don’t have the folder structure views so if you’re like me with a few hundred notes in Evernote you’re either searching or scrolling. With Moleskinery you’re able to store notes offline and keep a really nice structure – but you’re screwed for using multiple devices.

So … right now they are what I would say to be complementing applications. I’m using evernote to capture notes from all my systems (work, home etc) and things I really need synced between them all. I’ll be using moleskinery for notes I need access to where ever I am (like shopping / ToDo) even if I don’t have a network connection (like at the very back of my local SuperTarget). The nice thing is text notes can be synced out of moleskinery so I can email them directly to evernote should I need to get them out onto my other systems.

I really hope that the developer of moleskinery can figure out a way for me to email images/voice notes … and I also hope there’s a backup/import function built in soon.

curious tho, how would you compare moleskinery with evernote? (ie: moleskinery has a gorgeous UI. But evernote syncs off the device. But moleskinery has the folder structure.) do you think are they two different animals?
