I’ve always been a huge Apple/Mac fan. Since my first SE in 1989, 6100, emac & G3 -All still functioning except for the fact that they cannot be upgraded any further. Last year I bought a Mac Mini and an IPod. WHAT’S GOING ON APPLE? My hard drive crashed (which I have replaced) and I can’t re-sync my IPod without loosing everything on it??? Where did product reliability go?
In the mean time, I will continue to search for a solution to fix my IPod. A Solution shouldn’t be this convoluted!

Yes, it’s the CONTACTS. I unchecked it and everything was OK afterwards.

Seems to be a problem with synching with CONTACTS. Uncheck it and watch it fly!

Not only have I found NO EFFECTIVE FIX, Apple could care less. For a $400.00 product I’m done with all things APPLE. this company needs a good class action to get their attention…….6 hours to sync is crap!!! What the heck is the problem with Apple support…it does not exist!!! they sure suck up your money quickly!!!!! Disgusted with IPOD Touch and Apple!!!! My advice, buy any other company mp3 player!!!!

I had mine linked though a USB extender cable and once I removed that it synced so much faster. Either that or because I turned off the Mail sync. Not sure which one. 🙂
