The fact is Microsoft just has a better product. Looking past the failure that is Windows Vista, Windows is just the better choice. The fact that you cannot build a Mac, buy one with almost any sort of real customization, or run 75% of applications hardly makes up for not having to install an anti-virus and looking cool at Starbucks. Once there is more software support for Mac and I can build my own I cannot see why a power user or even basic users would want a Mac other than the low maintenance. The only advantage I truly see to having a Mac is Final Cut Pro. PCs can be found MUCH cheaper, more customizable, have more abundant and better software, and a steeper choice in hardware. Buying a Mac is the same as buying an iPod or Bose headphones. Less for your money.

Though the argument for the notebooks is honestly a little in Mac’s favor. The Mac Book was the only thing I’ve seen Apple do right. I must say, I love Mac Books.
