Reports all around the web have the latest iPhone firmware, 2.2 beta 1 arriving for developers. It is also accompanied by a new beta of the iPhone SDK, which is listed at 9M2611.
This latest build simply had ‘compatibility testing’ describing it. So there’s no word whether this buld has background push notifications built-in. C’mon Apple…
Interestingly enough, MacRumors has pointed towards a post on their forums where a user claims to have received a response from Steve Jobs on the whereabouts of push notifications. You can check that out here.
