Half-awake and tired, I woke up this morning and grabbed my iPhone. Checked the time and for some reason I popped open the App Store. Browsing around I noticed the Audi A4 Driving Challenge app, and noticed it was free. ‘Worth a try!’ I figured, so I sat up and installed it.
For a free app it’s really not that bad! You start out using the base model A4. Choose one of 5 tracks and hit the road. The gameplay is sort of like the old Spy Hunter. The view is from above, and you tilt your iPhone to steer. A break button is on the left of the screen, and the gas pedal is on your right. Drive around the track as fast as you can without knocking over any pylons. Knock over pylons and you’ll get a 1 second time penalty for each. As you get faster and better, you’ll unlock different A4 models to take to the track. One feature I liked in the game was the ‘ghost car’ feature. Once you set a fast time, that time will be ‘ghosted’ on the track, so that you can instantly see where you are in relation to your best time.
This one is totally worth your download. The game is simple, but I found it fun and easy to play right away. Screenshots and more info after the jump.
