Untrue Rumors of Steve Jobs Heart Attack

News started circulating Thursday night that Apple CEO Steve Jobs had suffered a heart attack. The story gained so much momentum that CNN’s iReport website picked up the story, subsequently making it’s way to Digg.com and causeing a dip in Apple’s stock price. CNN has since pulled the story and the SEC is investigating to see if this “story” was a deliberate attempt to manipulate stock prices. 

An Apple spokesperson confirmed that the rumor was in fact false. Rumors of Jobs’ health failing have been circulating quite a bit since his gauntly appearance at this years WWDC. They got so out of hand that Jobs showed a slide that said “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” during Apple’s Let’s Rock Event.
