Apple made $1.14 Billion in Profit Q4 of 2008

Today Apple announced it’s fiscal Quarter 4 2008 financial results today. Apple’s revenue for this quarter was $7.9 Billion and net profit of $1.14 Billion. This compared to a year-ago quarter revenue of $6.22 billion and $904 million in profit is a substantial jump.

Apple also reported it shipped 2,611,000 Macintosh computers this quarter showing 21% unit growth and 17% revenue growth compared to the year ago quarter. Apple also reported it sold 11,052,000 iPods. This is an 8% unit growth and 3% revenue growth compared to the year-ago quarter. iPhone sales were stunning with 6,892,000 sold compared to 1,119,000 in the year-ago quarter.
