Apple is starting to ramp up the holiday sales wagon. I can hear it idling in the garage out back.
Today I noticed that Apple has an iPhone 3G Gift Card up for offer for the holiday season. As Apple puts it:
Give someone an iPhone 3G Gift Card and when the lucky recipient comes in to redeem it, an Apple Retail Store Specialist will take care of every detail. The Specialist will get your recipient’s iPhone 3G up and calling, set up email, and help customize the Home screen, choose some great iPhone applications, personalize ringtones, and find favorite songs.
What a great idea. Buy the gift card, give it to that special someone… and all they have to do is take it to an Apple store, and a Genius will take care of the rest. The card purchaser can choose to add $25 all the way up to $2,500 onto the gift card. Any balance left over after purchase of the device can not be used against your monthly billing.
I should also note that the card is not valid at any AT&T locations. Recipients of the card will have to head into an Apple store, purchase it online, or make the order via telesales.
