No one has complained about the sound, from the in-line microphone, during a phone call. They are not of course deep in the ear canal which is fine for casual use. Sound isolation is okay for the coffee shop but I don’t think these would do for in-flight use if your looking for jet engine or crying baby sound isolation.

The pack-ins are nice. Alternative sized ear buds and a spare set of screw on anti-ear wax screens (eyeeew) are appreciated. I wonder if these can be purchased outside of the kit at a reasonable price. Best guess, Apple, naaaaaw.

They do a decent job, and the supplied triangular shaped storage case is really nice. They keep tangled cords at bay. I just have to remember to retrieve them from my pocket before accidentally washing them along with my clothes.

There may be better headphones out there at around the same price point (or a little bit more), but these are better than the standard buds. Bass isn’t bad if you get them positioned right.
