Just as rumored for quite a while now, Wal-Mart has confirmed that they will start selling iPhones this Sunday, December 28th.
No big savings to be had (unless you count $2.00 as big savings) at Wal-Mart though, at least for now:
Wal-Mart plans to sell the black 8-gigabyte iPhone 3G model, which also holds about 2,000 songs, for $197. The 16-gigabyte model, in black or white, will be priced at $297. All of the phones require a new two-year service agreement from AT&T Inc or a qualified upgrade, Wal-Mart said.
I bet they’ll still sell a whole lot of them via their 2,500 outlets next year though …
