Way off topic here, so I’ll try to keep it brief. I use a Mac and for a long while have been searching for a blog editing application that runs on Mac and offers all the features I need and ease of use I’d got accustomed to with Windows Live Writer.
I recently discovered Blogo, have been trialing it for around a week, and liking it a whole lot. Yesterday I ran into an issue with it after installing a new plugin on the site here. Without going into detail, it basically broke Blogo. Much as I was liking Blogo, this was also a pretty essential plugin for the site, so I wasn’t about to remove it just for the sake of my newfound favorite blogging program.
So I submitted a support email on the Blogo site and didn’t hold my breath, thinking they might just blame the new plugin (since I mentioned it in my issue description) and politely tell me to shove off, or at least not have any rapid fixes.
Instead, I got a super-fast reply from the Owner and Technical Director of Brainjuice, who produce Blogo (you gotta love small and attentive software publishers). We set him up a test account and he began to troubleshoot the issue. He then stayed in contact with me all day and always responded quickly at every stage.
In the end, Blogo released an updated version of the app yesterday evening, I installed it and ran one quick command to adjust its settings, and my issue was resolved. I’m happily drafting this post in Blogo.
I am so impressed with all the rapid and effective support provided by Blogo. I was already well impressed with the program itself, but now I’m fully sold. Great app + great support = winner every time. If you’re after a great blog editor app for the Mac, check Blogo out HERE.
