Bob – thanks for taking time to comment. All the issues I’ve mentioned in the review (not just the severe hanging up problem) have occurred while running Version 1.1.2.

That’s why I said of the hanging on launch issue: “This appears to have been resolved in its latest (1.1.2) version.”

Thanks for taking the time to check out and review the Peterson Field Guide to Backyard Birds iPhone application.

We are very open to feedback and have spent a lot of time tracking down bugs and stability issues. With the latest upgrade (version 1.1.2) the issues reported have been solved. In looking at your review, you report that the App hangs up even after the “latest version.” It would help us a lot to know if you are using version 1.1.2 or an earlier one.

If it was an earlier version, please accept the update and let us know if the issue still occurs. We are anxious to receive your updated feedback. We listen to our customers, and in our upgrades we have incorporated a number of their suggestions, such as stopping the sound with a touch and changing where the back button sends you in the app.
