Wallpaper Maker does a simple but very useful thing – it lets you add your contact details (or any message you like) to the iPhone’s displayed wallpaper. And it does it well, with an easy to use interface and a few more options than other apps I’ve seen that offer to do similar things.
For instance, it lets you choose your own wallpaper, by snapping a new photo or using any of your existing pics in your Camera Roll or Photo Library. You can also set whether you want your text to appear at the top or bottom of the screen.
Here’s a little excerpt from the program’s App Store page:
Ever wished you could add your more information to your iPhone/iPod touch wallpaper? With Wallpaper Maker you can easily create sharp looking wallpaper and add your contact information, a reminder, a favorite quote, or anything else to it. Key features: – Add up to three lines of text to your wallpaper. – Create wallpaper from any picture on your device’s photo library. – Create wallpaper from picture taken with the camera. – Place your information at the top or bottom of the wallpaper. – Easily create, preview, and save as many wallpapers as you want.
Wallpaper Maker lets you preview your new creations before saving them, and even offers simple instructions for how to ‘install’ your new wallpaper once you’re finished (for those who haven’t ever assigned a photo as their wallpaper).
This app is an instant favorite for me. I love apps that are simple to use, and do something useful for you.
It’s in the App Store now for $0.99.
