Zibri – creator of the hugely popular Ziphone jailbreak application for the iPhone – is handing off his Ziphone dedicated site next month, as he no longer has time to manage it. From February onwards, Zibri will not “have anything more to do with this site”.
Although he mentions that David (who he is handing over the site to) runs many sites and ‘a few are about cellular unlocking’ there is no indication of whether there will be any efforts to update or further develop the Ziphone app.
Ziphone has not been updated since the iPhone 2.0 firmware was released, but prior to that it was a very popular jailbreak method for many 1.x users. All of my most recent jailbreaks (and it’s been a while now) have been with Pwnage Tool and I much prefer it, but I know that Ziphone still has a whole lot of fans.
