The new AppTheater.com site is a great place to go if you’d like to get a preview / review of an iPhone app before shelling out your hard-earned cash on it. It offers user-submitted videos – so there’s a wide variety of ‘styles’ on display in the videos – some have no narration, just a soundtrack, others offer explanation and running commentary as they go.
The site is well organized and offers various sections to help you find videos quickly – including Channels, where you choose by categories, and Featured and Latest videos. Right now the content is very heavily focused on iPhone games (nearly 400 videos there, less than 100 in all other categories), but this may well change as the site grows. There’s a search bar to look for specific titles (or just use a keyword), sidebar items highlighting particular tags applied to submitted videos, and a neat feature where you can search by price!
It looks easy to submit your own reviews as well.
