You need to tap on the (very small) Like and Comment icons at bottom right of an individual message, and then hit the backward arrow reply symbol on the individual message screen.

I like the trending idea a lot. Keyword tracking would be nice too (Twitter used to have it) …

The next killer iPhone App is going to be one than does nothing but tell me what the hot topics (trending) are on Twitter and Friendfeed. It should show by percentage increase over my selected period of time – 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or last day…etc.
