Multi-Photo Email = New iPhone App for Mailing More Than One Photo at a Time

Multi-Photo Email does just what its name would suggest, and fills another of those irritating little gaps in the functionality of the iPhone. It allows you to send emails with multiple pictures attached. That’s all it does, and that’s just fine by me – as I find this a very handy ability to have.

Although there are other methods of getting new photos or screencaps from the iPhone to your PC, none of them have given me immense amounts of satisfaction so far. I find iPhoto slow and annoying, for instance. So a solution like Multi-Photo Email has great appeal for me.

Multi-Photo Email is very easy to use. First you need to setup your mail account within the app – it doesn’t let you simply choose an existing account on the phone, but it does know how to automatically setup some popular account types like Gmail as soon as you give it username / password details. Once that’s done, you simply launch the app, select photos from your Camera Roll or Photo Library, tap to ‘Add Photo’ on each one, type in or select a recipient (from your address book) for your email, type a subject line and any body text you want, and hit Send.

By default, it’s set to reduce the size of images (and has a jpeg image quality bar set fairly low as well) so that emails can be sent more quickly. These settings work fine for me, but they can easily be changed via the app’s Settings page if desired.

If you’re looking for a way to email multiple pics at once, this is a good option. It’s simple to use and works well. You can find Multi-Photo Email in the App Store now, for $0.99 …
