Own a first-gen iPod Nano in the US? If you do, you’ve got a little bit of coin heading your way as a result of a class action lawsuit. The ruling in the courts came down that Apple’s early 1G iPod Nano was way too prone to scratching and damage. As a result, customers should and will be entitled to compensation. Apple has been told by the courts to pay up $22.5 million and to initiate a claim process. This is good news for you if you happen to own a 1st Gen Nano in the US, but as per usual… It’s probably better news for the lawyers involved. They stand to gain almost $5 million out of the deal. Way to go suits.
So what can you expect in the way of compensation? Try $15 for an uncoated 1G Nano that came with a slip cover… and $25 for an uncoated 1G nano that came without a slip cover.
