Many of you probably already know about this one – as it’s been all over the web today and I’ve been slacking (only excuse is I’m getting over a sore throat / cold at the moment).
Anyway, for those who may not yet have heard – the Dev Team have released their latest updates for Pwnage Tool and QuickPwn, that can now be used to jailbreak the latest iPhone 2.2.1 firmware.
As usual, things are considerably more complicated if you already unlock your phone, or may do at some point in the future – as opposed to just needing to jailbreak. The Dev Team has a very clear set of instructions up at their blog site, telling you what you need to to do – and NOT do – based on your current status and whether you need to unlock. There’s also some crucial advice for anyone running the latest 10.5.6 version of Leopard OS.
The currently released tools are Mac only.
If you’re going to give them a go, definitely go check out the Dev Team instructions HERE first. Gotta love their post title on this! Guess Apple’s horse has bolted …
