Waiting on your 17″ MacBook Pro? Chances are you’re not alone. Apple has delayed shipments of the 17″ powerhouse. A message from Apple has been sent to customers that have pre-ordered the aluminum-unibody MBP:
“Wrapping up the new 17-inch MacBook Pro is taking a few days longer than we projected… As a result, we will be unable to ship your 17-inch MacBook Pro until February 19, 2009.”
An exact reason for the delay? No details have been squandered yet. But rest assured that your MBP will arrive, safely and in all of its 17″ glossy goodness at the end of February.
If you haven’t ordered yours yet, new orders should arrive in 3 to 4 weeks with the glossy screen, and the matte display is on a 4 to 5 week wait.
