Apple has recently started focusing more on applications in the promotional emails they send out, or at least the ones I am getting. Today I received one titled ‘App Store Spotlight: Valentine’s Appss …’. It points out that there are a wide variety of Valentine’s Day themed apps now available – from apps that want to help you make a reservation in a romantic restaurant, to those that will assist you in sending flowers, or chocolate, and so on.
The mail links you to the first App Store page filled with Valentine’s Day apps, along with a couple of odd choices. As you can see in the sreencap, there’s a wide variety of stuff here – from love ‘testers’ to Walmart’s BlowAKiss offering, to voice valentine creators and lots more.
I’m not quite sure how Urbanspoon (the app that randomly chooses a restaurant for you) and Little Black Book snuck into this group. Well, perhaps Little Black Book is an essential for the man or woman who has 23 special sweethearts to think of on Feb. 14th. 🙂
