South Park App Blocked from App Store – Let’s Have a Ratings System Please

Apple has rejected a South Park app for the iPhone. The app, from the creators of the show, would have offered streaming of past episodes.

Apparently the app is now ‘dead in the water’ as it’s been rejected twice on grounds of being ‘potentially offensive’.

This is yet another good example of why Apple should apply some sort of rating system to the App Store – as is done with movies, music etc. I’m absolutely fine with it if Apple wants to classify some content as adult or mature, and even attempt to enforce some sort of age restrictions or parental controls.
