If you ‘re tired of waiting for that crazy default SMS app to load, this new app might be for you if you ‘re jailbroken. QuickSMS is not out on Cydia for $12 and the crazy thing about this texting app is that it ‘s loaded right on Springboard. That means you can really get your multi-tasking on, since you can load QuickSMS up within any other app. Surfing, YouTubing, or gaming while you get a text? No problem! Just hit the volume up button and QuickSMS will load up instantly (that is to say, immediately or lightning fast). There are also other things like custom SMS alerts per contact, delayed sending of messages, and sending contacts through text. The insane loading speed also means that you can basically treat the app like a quick reply, since one button press will have it on screen.
The app is a little unstable so far, although there was a patch released just today that I ‘m hoping will really cut down on the springboard crashes.
I ‘m hoping to do a review of this, but I ‘ll get back to you folks on that one. $12.00 could be a fair price if they come through on things like landscape support (promised in an update).
