In addition to some oddball decisions, there is also news today of a very welcome App Store related decision. All App Store reviews submitted by ‘non-customers ‘ (those who have not bought and downloaded the app in question) have been removed.
Apple had already banned these reviews from non-users back in September of last year, but apparently had not removed the existing reviews submitted by the non-customers. And now they have, and that ‘s a good thing. There are already too many quick-fire reviews, that look as if they took all of 30 seconds thought to write, in the App Store – making it harder to find good information on an app. We definitely don ‘t need the thoughts of those who do have not even used an app clouding the pages up further.
