I ‘m beginning to wonder whether the iPhone App Store approvals / rejections process is run by one person with severe multiple personalities, or by a team of folks who are absolutely not on the same page with each other. I wonder because there just seems to be so little rhyme or reason to some of the choices we ‘re seeing lately.
Today ‘s prime example of this: cute little emoji emoticons that all iPhone text-hounds seem to love so much are deemed bad and the apps that enable them are being banned “ see this TUAW post for details. Meanwhile, Peep Show “ an app whose sole purpose is to let you ‘oogle hot women ‘ in peep show style “ has been approved and is in the App Store.
I know this is a very apples to oranges (and probably unfair) sort of comparison, and that the emoji bannage is likely due to something in the neighborhood of ‘too much system access ‘ – which is certainly not an issue for Peep Show.
