An unnamed source over at the World of Apple has told them that Apple is planning to hold an event on March 24th. The event would be primarily to unveil new desktop hardware, similar to the notebook event Apple ran back in October of ’08.
So, if this is indeed true (I have no reason to believe it wouldn’t be), I wonder what new hardware would be announced? The most logical hardware to make an appearance would of course be a new Mac Mini, new iMac and Mac Pro. That would be all well and good, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll see a new 30″ Cinema Display make an appearance as well. I hope I’m not alone in this 🙂
Of course I suppose there’s a tiny chance some sort of iPhone and/or iPod Touch update could make an appearance at such an event, but I’m still sticking with June at WWDC for that sort of announcement. Either that, or in the Fall at another Apple Event (to gear up for the holidays).
