I did a short post on The Magazine “ a Maxim style mens magazine app for the iPhone “ back in January. I thought it looked fairly promising, though I have to admit I haven ‘t kept up with it beyond Issue 1.
Now there ‘s a Lite (free) version of the app “ that offers ‘ a taste of what you ‘ll find in the full version ‘. I gave it a quick look this afternoon, and it ‘s quite a good ‘taster ‘ version. I think it only differs from the full version by just having a slightly smaller number of pages.
The content of The Magazine roughly follows the Maxim / mens magazine formula. So in the first issue it had a mix of profiles / interviews with a couple of ‘hotties ‘, some short science and tech articles, a caption contest, and a page of iPhone app reviews.
