Beejive IM “ which seems to be widely hailed as the best instant meesaging app for the iPhone “ is on sale this week, with its price reduced from a normal $15.99 down to $9.99.
That ‘s still a fairly steep price, but by all accounts this is the mother of all iPhone IM applications “ and it ‘s due to add a major new feature very soon. Apparently Facebook chat from within the app is coming in the next few weeks. The app already has a very strong reputation “ and adding Facebook chat should really set it apart.

I ‘m not a heavy IM user, so I ‘ve not tried out Beejive yet “ but I am very tempted and may well give it a look soon.
