Mariner Calc has launched its much-anticipated iPhone application this week. The app lets you view and, much more notably, edit Excel spreadsheets on the iPhone. It has a very impressive set of features, including:
- View and edit native Excel files (.xls format Excel 97 and up)
- Wirelessly transfer files to and from your computer
- 32,000 row by 256 column support (yikes that sounds like a lot of scrolling)
- Supports cut, copy, paste, undo, and redo
- 145 functions
- Support for multiple sheets
Very impressive list I think “ and just how the heck did copy& paste get in there?
I won ‘t be shelling out for this one as I hate numbers, spreadsheets, and mathematics in general “ and will vote for their abolition when Obama gives us a referendum on the subject. But for those of you who enjoy “ or at least are forced to work with “ this kind of thing, this app may be a real sight for sore eyes I imagine.
