Anyone who has been following the current and ongoing MacHeist may have copies of Process a great productivity app from Jumsoft. This was free on the mainframe mission, and is real dream to use, it looks great works perfectly and is easy to implement with other apps.

As you can see from the above screenshot it is really simple to use, working similar to iCal. You start by creating a Project, into this project you can add all the tasks you need to achieve and the dates and priorities that are contained for each one you can also add due dates to really add a sense of need to each thing you have to do. Once you have completed it you tick it off and it goes into an archive for each project.

The software is a lot more implemented than just creating timed tasks you can add multiple notes sources as well as web sources meaning if you are creating new elements for a website you can have these load as you create them. Sources don’t just stop there you are able to add a whole manner of objects such as images mp3’s and videos. Process is very well produced and if you didn’t get it free with the mainframe task in MacHeist it costs just $39.
Although Process isn’t the only app ive been using extensively throughout my current coursework tasks is anxiety, a lightweight iCal app. Pulling your to do data from iCal it shows everything you have to do in a simple compact design. Which easily implements into your desktop and can be hidden at the click of a button. Free and simple its great at combining the functionality of process which implements with iCal without having to run the application. As you can see from the screenshot below it is a small black window that you can tick off your to-do’s as you do them.

Overall two very strong apps that are great for productivity… one free… one fairly cheap!
