The iPhone version of Pocket Informant “ the award-winning and much admired mobile PIM application from WebIS “ has been submitted for entry into the App Store.
This will be great news for lots of former Windows Mobile users who know and love Pocket Informant (PI) “ which as a PIM (personal information manager) application, lets you manage your Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks.
There will also be a Lite (free) version of PI coming out “ which will be limited to one week ‘s worth of appointments and 10 tasks.
I used PI for years on several different WinMo devices “ and I ‘m very keen to see their iPhone version. One of the things I am most interested in seeing is how well PI ‘s sync will work, and what it syncs to. I currently use Things for task management (and love it), Google Calendar, and the built-in Contacts app to cover my PIM needs. An all-in-one solution certainly has its attractions though.
Hurry up and approve Apple
